A support of international organizations and foundations helps to promote this process. Projects connected with the development of Academic information infrastructure in Moldova have been sponsored by:<\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nato.int\/science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NATO Science Programme Committee<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.soros.md\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Soros Foundation in Moldova<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.unesco.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UNESCO<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eurasia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">EURASIA Foundation<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At the moment, more than 80.000 users, working in more than 30 organisations, make use of RENAM facilities. 20.000 workstations, personal computers and 100 servers operate in the net. Campus-level access networks are presented by ensembles of Ethernet LANs owned by institutions connected to Backbone.<\/p>\n<p>RENAM network is provided by a number of fast and reliable external links:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to G\u00c9ANT via RoEduNet,<\/li>\n<li>to StarNet Ltd. Internet Exchange point,<\/li>\n<li>to Moldotelecom Internet Exchange point.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Main External connections<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gigabit European Academic Network (G\u00c9ANT) is a pan-European multi-gigabit data communications network, reserved specifically by European Commission for research and education use.
