On October 24, 2024, at the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, 16 groups of researchers from different Moldovan entities were awarded for their remarkable results within the Horizon Europe programme. RENAM, in the person of Dr. Peter Bogatencov, Chair of the Management Board at RENAM, and Dr. Grigore Secrieru, Secretary of the Management Board at RENAM, received the corresponding Honorary Diploma.
Adriana Cazacu, State Secretary of the Ministry, mentioned the impact of the programme on the development of research and innovation in our country: “The participation of our country in the Horizon Europe programme is of great importance for the representation of the Republic of Moldova in the EU research and innovation structures, promoting the positive image of national science.”
RENAM, as the national research and education network, leverages the existing opportunities and actively participates in international collaborations, aiming at the appropriate advancement of quality and exchange of experience. At the global level, national research and education networks ensure advanced connectivity of the local academic community (researchers, professors, academic staff and students) with the rest of the world and provide technical solutions for international scientific collaboration and education of the young generation in the global society.
RENAM’s participation in international development projects, such as the GN5-1 project and the ‘EU4Digital: Connecting Research and Education Communities (EaPConnect)’ project, allows the operation of services and provision of resources needed for the entire research and education community in the country.
