We are pleased to invite you to the 4th Eastern Partnership E-infrastructures Conference EaPEC 2019, which will be held in the Matenadaran Museum of ancient manuscripts in Yerevan, Armenia on 25-26 September, 2019. Where better to explore the conference theme, ‘Connecting with Culture’?
Policy makers, research managers and experts on networking, cultural heritage, and high-performance computing for research and education are invited to participate, along with anyone interested in exploring the conference topics: e-Infrastructure Applications, Open Science, Cybersecurity, Machine Learning and AI, Cloud or IaaS, Digital Libraries & Cultural Heritage Digitisation, e-Science.
EaPEC 2019 will include a keynote presentation by Erik Huizer, CEO of GÉANT, panel discussions on ‘The Evolving Cybersecurity Landscape’ and on ‘Ethics in AI’, Lightning Talks, and Enlighten Your Research awards and presentations. Workshops and sessions will explore ‘Satellite-Based Research & Geo-Science’, ‘Connecting with Culture’, ‘The European Open Science Cloud’, ‘Machine Learning and AI’, and ‘EC-Funded Research’.
The conference is organised by the EaPConnect (Eastern Partnership Connect) project as part of its goal to interconnect the research and education communities in the EU and Eastern Partnership countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. EaPEC 2019 will support community building and serve as a platform for collaboration on policy and research.
How can you participate?
Lightning talks, posters and demonstrations are great ways for EaPEC participants to share early results, get feedback on shared ideas, find new collaborators from other institutions, and spark conference discussion.

IMPORTANT: Lightning Talk presenters from Eastern Partnership countries (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine) might apply for reimbursement of travel costs by the EaPConnect project.
