CNMS 2016 – Campus network monitoring and security workshop |
CESNET (also RENAM e.n.) as a member of the GN4 (GÉANT) project together with other partners from the activities NA3—Task 2 Campus Best Practices and SA3 T1 Network services will organize a workshop focused on campus network monitoring and security. Participants will discuss common practices in network monitoring, used tools and processes deployed to improve management of campus networks.
Basic information Date: April 25 to 26, 2016 Venue: Czech Technical University, Zikova 2, Prague 6, the Czech Republic (see more below) Preliminary program The CNMS 2016 workshop consists from two independent events:
The workshop will start at 9:00 Monday and ends Tuesday 17:00. It is expected that participants will travel to/from Prague in appropriate time. We also assume that participants can register independently on both parts. The joint dinner and cultural part of this workshop is planned on Monday 25. April. Program is still open and we are waiting for your talks describing your experiences and used practices. However, for first day we have prepared several invitation talks which we classified into several topics. See list of talks with short annotations and the program of second day. Call for papers The talks in CNMS 2016 should be focused on new monitoring methods, tools or products, experiences with data analysis, reporting anomalies, incidents, etc. You are invited to submit your abstract proposal to contribute to CNMS (maximum 1 page A4) and send it via email to jiri@cesnet.cz with the email Subject CNMS2016. The deadline for abstracts submission is 31st January, 2016. Detailed program will be defined in the February 2016 (after collection of all abstracts). Registration Registration will be opened on 15th February, 2016. Venue The workshop takes place at the Czech technical University How to get there From the airport: Bus no. 119 (stop is in the middle of the car park outside the arrival hall, just walk straight and look for the signs) will take you to the Metro station Nádraží Veleslavín (15 minutes). Bus 119 ends here, so don’t worry. Change for Metro (subway) and go two stations in direction “Depo Hostivar” to the Dejvickástation. After leaving the metro by the back of the train, turn right and leave subway to the Šolínova street. Building entrance is on the corner of Šolínova and Zikova streets. From anywhere else: Use Metro (subway). Every main train or bus station in Prague is directly connected to Metro. Go to the line A and then to station Dejvická. Plans of Metro lines are available on stations and inside trains (above every door). After leaving the metro continue straight to Šolínova.
