On October 9, 2024, Alex de Leeuw, Chief Financial Officer at GÉANT, Irina Matthews, ‘EU4Digital: Connecting Research and Education Communities (EaPConnect)’ Project Manager, Petru Bogatencov, Chair of the Management Board at RENAM, and Anatol Goncearuc, Executive Director at RENAM, visited Ion Creangă State Pedagogical University in Chisinau (UPSC).
Members of the UPSC Administration met the visiting delegation. They showcased their educational laboratories (created with the support of different international projects), and shared the action plan and development strategies of the National Center for Digital Innovations in Education ‘Future Classroom’ at UPSC. Discussions were also focused on the possibilities of expanding academic programs and implementing of services, which can be used for training students in cutting-edge technologies.
The visit highlighted the significant role of RENAM in advancing Moldova’s educational infrastructure. As the national research and education network, RENAM provides high-speed internet access and advanced digital services to academic institutions across the country.
